- What areas do you serve?
- Hop To It covers all Western neighborhoods of San Francisco for walks, with Divisadero being the general cutoff point. Not sure if you're in range? Just message us! For dog & house-sitting at yours, we're open to traveling outside of SF for the right fit.
- What services do you offer?

- Walks — one-off or recurring, 3+ days a week
- Potty drop-ins — a focused 20–30 minute midday visit
- Outings — 90-minute group hikes and adventures, pickup and drop-off included
- Training — private in-home sessions, day trains, and standalone training walks for dogs working through specific issues
- Puppy Prep — a 4-week foundations course, with coaching for you too
- Boarding — overnight care, in your home or mine

- How many dogs do you walk or board at once?
- On purpose, we keep it small. Walks are usually just your dog(s) to ensure everyone gets real attention and an outing that is focused on their specific needs. If requested and discussed first, Hop is happy to join on any walk! For boarding, we take just one guest dog at a time (plus Hop) — so your dog isn't lost in a pack, they're a guest in a home.
- Do you require vaccinations?
- Yes, always. Every dog needs to be up to date before their first visit — Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and DHPP for overnight stays. A quick photo of the records from your vet is all we need. It keeps every dog safe.
- Are you insured?
- Yes. Hop To It SF carries pet-care liability and care-custody-control insurance, so your dog and your home are covered while they're with us.
- What tools do you use with dogs?
- For walks and boarding, I follow your lead. Whatever tools you're already using with your dog that are working, I'll use them too.
If those tools aren't working (e.g. your dog is consistently pulling, or it's hard to gain control of them when they're reactive), I'll tell you and recommend a different approach so your dog and I are both safe. Changing tools on a walking or boarding client is always your call.
Training is different. If we're working together on training, you're agreeing to my approach and the tools that come with it. That's spelled out in the training agreement before we start, so there are no surprises.
- How do meet-and-greets work?
- Free in San Francisco, and $50 if outside of SF or crossing a bridge. Very low-key — we come say hello (or you come to us) and make sure everyone's a good fit before anything's booked. These usually last about 45 minutes.
- What if my dog has special needs or takes medication?
- Totally fine — just tell us everything up front. Meds, anxieties, quirks, the works. The more we know, the better we care for them.
- How do I book and pay?
- Reach out through the contact form, and once we've met and your records are in, we'll lock in your dates. Payment is by Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
- What happens in an emergency?
- Your dog's safety comes first. We'll always try to reach you immediately — and if we can't and your dog needs care, we'll get them to your vet or the nearest emergency vet right away. We collect your vet's info and an emergency contact at intake, just in case. All owners are responsible for any veterinary bills incurred while their dog is in our care.
